RBI Grade B Officer 2022 Salary (Updated)

RBI Grade B Officer will draw a starting basic pay of ₹55,200/- p.m. in the scale of ₹55200-2850(9)-80850-EB-2850(2)-86550-3300(4)-99750 applicable to Officers in Grade ‘B’.

They will also be eligible for Dearness Allowance, Local Compensatory Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Special Allowance and Grade Allowance as per rules in force from time to time.

At present, initial monthly gross emoluments are approximately ₹1,16,684/- (approx.)

RBI Grade B salary include various allowances such as:- Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Grade Allowance, Local Allowance, Family Allowance and Medical Allowance.Apart from these allowances, RBI Grade B officer also gets Sodexo coupons, briefcase allowance, spectacles allowance, educational allowance, and more.

As we know that Reserve Bank of India provides lots of Allowances to the RBI Grade B Officers.Here we given detail of each and every allowances:-

Dearness allowances (DA): DA of 113% of the basic salary of each employee. DA is revised to 125% after the 7 central pay commissions.

Conveyance allowance (CA): Conveyance allowance is paid based on the declaration by you.At the Mumbai center, the amount is an additional 14000 in hand.
Note:- 30 liters of extra petrol for all those living in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, or Bangalore.

House Rent Allowances (HRA): HRA is given to the officers who are living in other towns or cities and not in their hometown. A Grade B Officer generally gets 2/3 BHK flat depending on the availability in the city. In case One has been not allotted a flat, RBI provides approx INR 70000 for that in Mumbai and accordingly in other cities.

Education allowances: Not all, but selected officers receive education allowances for their kids.The Annual reimbursements of education allowances up to INR 4000/per month.

Medical allowances (MA): Medical bills if declared can be reimbursed. This allowance is valid for the dependability of the employee as well. The Annual reimbursements of Medical approx- Rs 4000 and also free dispensary facility besides reimbursement of medical expenses for OPD treatment/hospitalization as per eligibility.

Bank Loan Facility: As per a recent 7th central pay commission revision, RBI has declared provisions for loans in a consolidated manner. Officers can get loans and advances at a much cheaper rate for Housing, vehicles, and Computers, etc., and as per the bank’s policies.

Leave Fare Concession Travel (LFC): One of the best perks of RBI is the LFC Travel allowance.Once in two years for self, spouse, and eligible dependents.Bank provides around Rs 107000 per person for this.

Briefcase Allowances: BA is drawn by Grade A and B level officers. The Annual reimbursement of Briefcase is approx Rs- 7000/-. They can reimburse the price of the briefcase every three years.

Grade Allowance: 2250 for Grade B officer starts after confirmation (end of probation).

Special Allowance: 2500 for Grade B officer starts after confirmation (end of probation).

Spectacles Allowance: 7000Rs. For RBI Grade B Officer or the spouse.

Pension: Pension is a common thing that every government employee draws after retirement.

Sodexo Coupons: RBI also provides Food/Grocery Sodexo Coupons to its employees ~ INR 2000/-

Apart from the given perks, there is an Interest-free festival advance, Newspaper, telephone charges, book grants, Furnishing of Residence Allowance, Life Insurance Coverage, Medical Insurance, and Educational Leaves, etc. as per eligibility.

• Starting Basic Pay is Rs.55200 as mentioned above with a yearly increment of Rs.2850 for 9 years
• After 9 years, Rs. 80850 is your basic pay and yearly increment of Rs.2850 for the next two years if you reach the Efficiency Bar (EB)
• After a total of 11 years, Rs.86550 is your basic pay and a yearly increment of Rs.3300 for the next four years
• 99750 is the Maximum Basic Pay after 16 years.
