Reliance Jio gets 5th deal, KKR to invest Rs 11,367 crore for 2.32% stake
Reliance Industries Limited’s (RIL) Jio Platforms Limited, India’s leading digital services platform, on Friday announced the sale of a 2.32 per cent stake in its digital unit to US private equity giant KKR for Rs 11,367 crore.
- The fifth deal in four weeks that will inject a combined Rs 78,562 crore in the oil-to-telecom conglomerate to help it pare debt well before its target date.
- This is KKR’s largest investment in Asia and will translate into a 2.32 per cent equity stake in Jio Platforms on a fully diluted basis.
- “This transaction values Jio Platforms at an equity value of Rs 4.91 lakh crore and an enterprise value of Rs 5.16 lakh crore.

Finance Minister exempts B2B firms from using only BHIM, RuPay for accepting payments
- The finance ministry on Wednesday exempted companies with a turnover of over ₹50 crore and involved in only B2B transactions from the requirement of accepting payments only by electronic modes like RuPay or BHIM-UPI.

Tata Power arm TPIPL acquires 10% equity in ABV; total stake rises to 50%
- Tata Power said its arm Tata Power International Pte Ltd (TPIPL) has acquired 10 per cent stake in Adjaristsqali Netherlands BV (ABV) from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for USD 150,000 (about Rs 1.13 crore).
