Former Indian Archer-turned-Coach Jayantilal Nanoma Passes away at 34
- Former International archer turned coach Jayantilal Nanoma was killed in a road mishap when his SUV met with an accident at Varda in Rajasthan’s Dungapur district late.
- Nanoma, 35, was first rushed in a critical condition to a Sagwara hospital then to Udaipur’s Geetanjali hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at 3:30 am on Monday, SHO Varda Thana, Sagar Chand.
- A PTI teacher who was travelling with Nanoma was admitted to Sagwara hosital where his condition is stable, he said.
- Nanoma was an Asian Cup and Asian Grand Prix medallist in compound individual and team archery in 2010.
- He was employed as a District Sports Officer in Dungapur. He had worked as a coach with different Indian teams. He was a recipient of the prestigious Maharan Pratap State Sports Award.
- He worked as a coach with the Indian team in different overseas competitions. He received the prestigious Maharana Pratap State Sports Award.
- Archery Association of India (AAI) condoled his death along with Nanoma’s family members and other trainees.
