One of the reputed services under UPSC, Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and is the 1st preference by aspirants. As an IAS, you will be in charge of implementing state and central government policies and ensure they are being followed. Moreover, you will be travelling places, implementing policies, supervision of public fund expenditure and other. As an IAS officer, you will be responsible for making decisions in different levels of Joint Secretary, Deputy Secretary etc. This is the most prestigious job and one to carry skills and clear the strict examination process.

  • IES

Indian Engineering Service is the most sought-after career and the recruitment happens in four domains- Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics & Telecommunications for Grade A position. Once selected, the IES candidate will get posting in different ministerial levels like- Railways, Telecom, Border Roads, CPWD, CWC, CPES, and others. To get this job, you need to carry IES eligibility criteria which will help in getting jobs.

  • Indian Police Service

IPS, one of the most prestigious jobs offered by the Government of India, the duty is to maintain law and order in the state. The IPS will be responsible in taking care of the VIP security, counter-terrorism, border policing, and other essentials. Moreover, the IPS officer will be responsible in handling cases of drug trafficking, smuggling, and commanding Indian Intelligence Agencies like RAW, CBI, and IB.

  • IRS (IT, Custom and Central Excise)

One of the most respected jobs in USPC, IRS officer is responsible for handling taxation systems of India. They will be responsible for handling direct taxes. The officer will be responsible in formulating taxes according to the inputs submitted by sources. The IRS officer is also responsible to select the Member of the IT Appellate Tribunal, Authority for Advance Ruling and IT settlement.

  • Indian Civil Accounts Services

The individual working under this service is duty bound to establish a technically sound accounting system in the Departmentalized Accounts Office. The responsibility involves providing direction in accounting matters and issuing general instructions. Furthermore, the duty involves reconciliation of cash balance with RBI and consolidating Monthly Accounts of the Union Government.

  • Indian Finance Services

The individual working on this position will be responsible for the assessment and collection of Licenses. Furthermore, the individual will be involved in working with spectrum auction, policy making in the Department of Telecommunications and the Department of Posts. The professional will be appointed on deputation to central government, state governments, autonomous organizations, and others.
