The partnership is designed so that the companies can co-develop AI computing systems; Anthropic will leverage Google Cloud’s cutting-edge GPU and TPU clusters to train, scale, and deploy its AI systems.

Nobel Laureate Abdulrazak Gurnah presented the award to Mohan at the valedictory ceremony of the four-day MBIFL 2023. The Trinidad-born author, also a linguist who earned a PhD in linguistics from the University of Michigan, USA, migrated to India and worked as a professor of Language Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University and Jamia Millia University, New Delhi.
BIFL 2023, also known as ‘Ka’ in Malayalam, featured Nobel and Booker Prize winners and Jnanpith awardees and others among over 400 names in creative fields. The fourth edition of MBIFL under the theme “Shadows of history, Lights of the future” makes a comeback at a fitting time as Mathrubhumi celebrates its centenary year. At this time, this festival becomes a contemplative platform to examine a journey emerging from the shadows and reaching the light. The award includes a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh, a plaque and a citation.

Explanation: Passengers traveling in Indian Railways can now order food online through WhatsApp while undertaking a journey by using their PNR number. This comes as a step further towards making e-catering services more customer-centric in Indian Railways. The Indian Railways has recently started WhatsApp Communication‘Zoop’ for railway passengers to order food through e-catering services.
The Indian Railways initially planned a two-stage implementation of e-catering services through WhatsApp Communication.
In the first phase, the Business WhatsApp number will send a message to the customer booking e-ticket for opting for e-catering services by clicking the link www.ecatering.irctc.co.in.
The customers will be able to book meals of their choice with this option from the restaurant of their choice available at stations enroute directly through the e-catering website of IRCTC.
The customers may or may not need to download the app.
In the next phase of the service, WhatsApp number will be enabled to become an interactive two-way communication platform for the customer.
An AI power chatbot will handle all queries about e-catering services for the passengers and will also book meals for them.
WhatsApp Communication gas has been implemented for e-catering services on selected trains based on customer feedback and suggestions.
Approximately 50,000 meals are served in a day to customers through IRCTC e-catering services enabled through its website.

Bard is powered by LaMDA (Language Model for Dialogue Applications), a large language model that was developed and released by Google in 2021. Pichai said they will be initially releasing Bard on a “lightweight” version of LaMDA that would require significantly less computing power, enabling them to scale to more users and seek more feedback.
