As we all know that Indian Air Force (IAF) has invited online application from Indian citizens (Men & Women) to join the Indian Air Force as commissioned officers in Flying, Ground Duty (Technical), Ground Duty (Non- Technical) branches.
Indian Air Force (IAF) is conducting the AFCAT 2019 Exam on 16th /17th February 2019 in two shifts. In the AFCAT 1st shift, there is AFCAT scheduled to hold and in second shift AFCAT and EKT, both will hold. Indian Air Force (IAF) does not release any answer key for the AFCAT and EKT Examination. IAF will directly declare the result for the AFCAT 2019 Exam in April 2019. AFCAT 2019 Answer Key will be released by the various coaching center and YouTube channels.

AFCAT and EKT Exam Pattern 2019
The AFCAT Exam pattern for both the papers in terms of exam mode, type of questions and marking scheme is similar.

AFCAT Exam Pattern:
- AFCAT 2019 Exam is an online test, conducted in two shifts in English language. It will consist of 100 objective questions to be solved within duration of 120 minutes. The maximum marks an aspirant can score in AFCAT 2019 are 300.
EKT Exam Pattern:
- Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) is a meant to test candidate’s engineering knowledge. The test is compulsory for candidates applying for Technical Ground Duty branch. EKT 2019 is an online test, conducted in two shifts in English language.
AFCAT 2019 Marking Scheme
There has been no change in the marking scheme of AFCAT 2019 Exam. The marking scheme is given as follows:
- 3 marks will be awarded for every correct answer.
- 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
- No marks for unattempt questions.
- If the candidate will select multiple answers (for MCQ type Questions) then 1 marks will be deducted.
- If the candidate will not answer the question, no negative marking will be there.

Note: The AFCAT cutoff provided above is used for shortlisting the candidates for the SSB round. But these marks do not have relevance once you reach the SSB centres. So try to prepare to at-least qualify for Interview round and then give strength for SSB preparations.
AFCAT 2019 Result
The AFCAT 2019 result will be based on the marks scored by the candidates in the entrance tests. The result will be declared online at the AFCAT official site at afcat.cdac.in in the month of April 2019 (Tentative).
