1.Gajendra, Jitendra and Satyendra can do a piece of work, working together, in 1 day. Gajendra is thrice efficient as Jitendra and Jitendra takes the twice the number of days as Satyendra takes to do it alone. What is the difference between the numbers of days taken by Gajendra and Satyendra?

2.Sonia and Saniya can complete a task in 30 days when working together, after Soniya and Saniya have been working together for 11 days, Saniya is called away and Soniya, all and himself completes the task in the next 28 days. Had Soniya been working alone, The number of days taken by him to complete the task would have been:

3.The ratio of efficiency  of Anita is to Chinmay is 5:3. The ratio of number of days taken by Bindu is to Chinmay is 2:3. The Number of days taken by Anita to finish the remaining work is :

Again,efficiency of Gajendra,Jitendra and Satyendra=100/1=100%

Efficiency of Gajendra=3/6*100=50%

Efficiency of Satyendra= 2/6*100=33.33%

Now,number of days taken by Gajendra= 100/50=2

Number of days taken by Satyendra=            100/33.33=3

Rest work = 19/30

1 day’s work of Soniya =19/30/28= 19/30*28=19/840

Total number of days required to complete the whole work         alone= 1/19/840=840/19=44 4/19 days

Now,      15x-9x=6

X=1

Number of days taken by Anita=9

Number of days taken by Bindu=10

Number of days taken by Chinmay=15

Work done by Bindu and Chinmay in initial 2 days= 2*1/6=1/3

Rest work=2/3

Number of days required by Anita to finish 2/3 work= 2/3÷1/9 =6days

Efficiency                                                  (1/45)=2.22%                    (1/40)=2.5%

Arundhati did the work in 56 days= 56×1/45×2=28/45

Rest work (17/45) was done by Arundhati and Bahubali= 17/45÷17/360= 8days

(Since Arundhati and Bahubali do the work in one day=1/45+1/40=17/360)

 

  1. Efficiency of Aditi=16.66%

Efficiency of Bipasha=8.33%

Efficiency of Chandrika=12.5%

Efficiency of Aditi+Bipasha=25%

Efficiency of Aditi+Bipasha+Chandrika=37.5%

In 3 days Aditi,Bipasha,Chandrika completes 37.5% work

In 6 days Aditi,Bipasha,Chandrika completes 75% work

Rest work =25%

This 25% work will be completed by Aditi and Bipasha in next 2            Days

Thus total 6+2=8 days are needed.

 

  1. Taniya+ Anjali= 70%

Anjali  + Nidhi=  50%

[Taniya+ Anjali+Anjali+Nidhi-(Taniya+Anjali+Nidhi)=Anjali

70+50-100=20%

Anjali=20%, Taniya=50%, Nidhi= 30%

Taniya is most efficient.

 

  1. W×D= work

16×6=1/3W

Rest work= 2/3W

For double work in same time we need double women. So 16

More women are required.

 

  1. 30×20=30*x+21*(26-x)

X=6

Put X value

30*6+21*20=600

 

  1. 25×30=25*x+75*(20-x)

X=15

Put X value

25*15+75*5=750

 

  1. Work done by 6 Men= Work done by 10 women.

Work done by 1 man = work done by 10/6=5/3women

12men+5 women= 12*5/3+5=25women

W1×D1= W2×D2, W=women, D= days

10*15=25*D2

D2=6
