This means that a denomination should be twice its preceding denomination. The optimal system of currency should enable the probability of proffering exact change. As per the currency denomination used in our country 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 and 2000, the Rs 200 note was the only missing link, as per the RBI.
