Directions (Q. 1-5): Read the following information carefully and answer the questions.

Nine players namely M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T and U stay in a same nine floored building, but not necessarily in the same order. Also each athlete plays different games i.e. Cricket, Kho-Kho, Shooting, Badminton, volleyball, Basketball, Hockey, Kabbdi and Football, but not necessarily in the same order. The ground floor is numbered 1 and the topmost floor is numbered 9. Out of nine Players, four Players A, D, W and Y are the top four rankers in these games Basketball, Kabbdi, volleyball and Badminton, but not necessarily in the same order. They get top rank in these games when they play. No Player got the same rank in any two games. When asked about their ranks in each of these games, they made the different statements. E stays on the second floor and plays shooting. D gives statements about the rank is –“I am the first ranker in the game which is played by Y. Y is the first ranker in volleyball. W is the first ranker in Kabbdi”. Y plays Badminton and stayed on an even-numbered floor. A stays on any even-numbered floor below the floor on which Y stays. The one who plays Kabbdi stays on the 4th floor. A gives statements about the rank is – “W is the 4th ranker in volleyball. Y is the 4th ranker in the game which is played by D. D is the 1st ranker in Basketball”. The one who plays Football stays on the 3rd floor. A does not play Basketball. There are two floors between the floors on which the Players who play Hockey and Badminton stay. C plays Kho-Kho. There are three floors between the floors on which C and X stay. D stays on a floor immediately above Z’s floor. There is one floor between the floors on which W and X stay. W does not play Football. The one who plays Cricket stays on the topmost floor. W does not stay on the ground floor. Y gives statements about the rank is – “A is the 3rd ranker in the game which is played by the Player who stays on 8th floor. I am the 4th ranker in Basketball. W gives statements about the rank is- “I am the 1st ranker in Badminton. Y is the 4th ranker in volleyball. A is the 3rd ranker in Basketball”. D is the 2nd ranker in Kabaddi”. It is known that each one of them made a false and a true statement alternately and in total, they made equal number of true and false statements.
