NATIONAL PARK IN GUJARAT:-
Black Buck National Park-
- Gulf of khambhat at its south
- Semi arid conditions and grassland
Gir National Park-
- Seven major perennial river flow through this region namely-Hiran, Shetrunji, Dartardi, Shingoda, Macchindri, Godavari, Raval.
- Four reservoir at four dams-one each at Hiran, Macchundari, Raval, Shingod
- Biggest reservoir of the region is Kamleswar Dam which is called as life line of Gir.
- Teak forest with dry deciduous
- Famous for Asiatic lions
Marine National Park-
- First marine National Park-
- Involves 42 islands on Jamnagar Coast of which Pirotan is famous
- Most of them surrounded by reefs
Vansda National Park-
- Western ghats of shyadri range
- Deciduous forest
- Areas having groves of KATAS BAMBOO
- Ambika river
NATIONAL PARK IN RAJASTHAN
Desert National Park-
- Sand dunes form around 20% of parks of thar desert( marusthali)
- Fossils of animal and plant including dinosaurs
- Gadsisar sagar tank
- Abundance of birdlife
Keoladeo National Park-
- UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE Site
- Man made and man managed wetland
- Wood lands swamps
- Wood land patches
- Dry grassland
- Important for international migratory water fowls(Siberian crane)
- Kadam tree
Ranthambore National Park-
- Also tiger reserve
- In north Banas River and in south Chambal River
- Dry deciduous forest and open grass meadow
- Ranthambore fort
- Padam talav lake
- Jog mahal and one of the very oldest Baniyan tree in India
Sariska National Park-
- Part of aravali range
- Dhok tree forest
- Scrub-thorn arid forest
- Rocky landscape
- Hilly cliffs
- Rich in mineral resources
- Illegal marble mining
Darrah National Park-
- Also called as mukundra hills national park
- Consists three wildlife sanctuaries:-
- Darrah wild life sanctuary
- Chambal wildlife sanctuary
- Jawahar sagar wildlife sanctuary
NATIONAL PARKS IN WEST BENGAL
Buxa National Park-
- Buxxa hills
- International border with Bhutan
- Serves as international corridor for asian elephants
- Northali lake
- Eight types of forest like dry deciduous, terai, tropical evergreen, savanna,
- Raidak and Jayanti River
Sundarban National Park-
- Tiger reserve
- Biosphere reserve
- Mangrove forest
- Consists of small island in area of several distributaries of Ganga River
- Sundarban mudflat
- Ganges dolphin and Bengal tiger
Gorumara National Park-
- In terai region of Himalayan foothills
- Moist deciduous tropical forest and riverine grassland konown as Duars.
- Tropical orchid
- Murli and Raidak River, Jaldhaka River
- Indian rhinoceros
Jaldapara National Park-
- Foothills of eastern Himalaya
- Tarsa River
- Vast grassland with patches of riverine forest
- Indian one horned rhinoceros
Neora valley National Park-
- Neora river
- Park highest elevation at 10600ft at Rachela Danda
- Famous for red panda.
