Flagging off 16 bike ambulances outside the Delhi Secretariat, Kejriwal said it was difficult for four-wheeler ambulances to enter narrow lanes. “If there’s a medical emergency in narrow lanes, a bike ambulance can go there and immediately provide its service to patients.” He said the number of bike ambulances would be increased in the coming days.

The animal lived a life of 88 years, generally captive elephants are known to have life-expectancy of just 40-plus years. The current Guinness World Record holder for oldest elephant in captivity is Lin Wang, who died at a zoo in Taiwan at 86 in 2003, AFP reports said. The elephant died after she became reluctant to eat anything during her last days. In order to make her eat, her captors included pineapple and carrots in her diet.

Explanation: State Bank of India said the Reserve Bank of India has slapped Rs 1 crore penalty on the country’s largest lender for violating norms. RBI “in exercise of powers conferred under Section 47 A of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 has levied a penalty of Rupees one crore on the bank for not monitoring the end use of funds in respect of one of its borrowers,” SBI said in a regulatory filing.
