Each student got a different rank in each of these five subjects and the rank of no two students were the same in the same subject. It is known that

  • Lokesh got 1st rank in English and the lowest rank in History.
  • Amit got 5th rank in Biology which was also Jitendra’s rank in Drawing.
  • Rohan got 2nd rank in Drawing and his rank in Science was better than his rank in Drawing.
  • The person who got 4th rank in Drawing also got 3rd rank in English but he was not Amit.
  • Amit got 3rd rank in History and Lokesh got a better rank in Science compared to his rank in Drawing.
  • Jitendra didn’t get 1st rank in Biology.

Each of them wears different coloured dress, viz Purple, Orange, Pink, White, Green, Blue and Black, and each of them belongs to different states –Rajasthan , Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Uttrakhand but not necessarily in the same order. None of the females wear Blue or Purple dress. C wears Pink dress and she belongs to neither Uttar Pradesh nor Bihar. A is from Bihar and wears neither Purple nor blue dress.
