UPSC 2024 Eligibility Criteria

UPSC Educational Qualification: – Applicants need to have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. Those in their last year of graduation can apply provisionally, but they must provide proof of passing the degree examination by the specified date.

UPSC Age Limit: –

Applicants must be between 21 and 32 years old as of August 1 of the examination year. Some age relaxations are available for candidates in reserved categories and other specified groups.

UPSC 2024 Application Form

Here, we have provided important details, regarding the UPSC IAS Online form 2024, which will help you while filling the UPSC Civil Services Application Form 2024. The registration is the first step to apply for the exam. The last date for apply UPSC IAS exam 2024, 5th March 2024, so candidates will be able to apply online on or before the last date.

How to Fill UPSC Civil Services 2024 Application Form?

To apply for the examination, follow these steps:

  • Visit the website upsconline.nic.in.
  • Register on the One Time Registration (OTR) platform available on the Commission’s website.
  • Complete the online application for the examination.
  • OTR registration needs to be done only once in a lifetime and can be completed at any time during the year.
  • If you are already registered, you can directly proceed to fill out the online application for the examination.
  • The application correction window will be open from March 6 to March 12, 2024, for seven days.

  • Once submitted, candidates cannot withdraw their application form.
  • Applicants need a valid Photo ID Card like Aadhaar Card, Voter Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving Licence, or any other Photo ID Card issued by the State/Central Government.

  • The candidate must have the Photo ID Card details during the online application process.

  • This Photo ID Card will be the main reference for all future purposes, and candidates should carry it during all exam stages.

  • Click on the submit button
  • Pay the requested fees for the registration form UPSC Exam 2024.
  • Take out a print of that application form for the future purpose.

UPSC 2024 Admit Card – Download

The UPSC IAS 2024 has announced 1056 vacancies for various posts in the year 2024. The total number of vacancies for the civil services exam (IAS Exam 2024) will be shared once disclosed by the union public services exam. Below, we have listed the posts for which the vacancies are available in two given groups:

Here are the steps to download the UPSC admit card:

  1. Visit UPSC Website: Go to www.upsc.gov.in, the official website of the Union Public Service Commission.

  2. Find Admit Card Section: Look for the “Admit Card” or “e-Admit Card” link on the homepage.
  3. Select CSE Examination: Click on the link related to the UPSC Civil Services Examination admit card.
  4. Enter Details: Enter your Registration ID/Roll Number and Date of Birth as required to access the admit card.
  5. Download Admit Card: After submitting the details, the UPSC CSE admit card will appear on the screen. Check details like exam venue, date, and time.
  6. Print Admit Card: Once verified, download and print a copy of the admit card. It’s necessary to have a printed copy for the examination.

Remember, admit cards for Preliminary and Main exams are released separately. Keep the admit card safe until the entire selection process is completed.

UPSC Selection Process 2024

The selection process of UPSC Exam is a 3 stage assessment, wherein, candidates have to appear for Prelims, Mains and Personal Interview.

  • Preliminary exam is basically screening test in which, over 15 lakh candidates participate.
  • There are two papers for candidates to attempt compulsorily in UPSC Exam 2024 Prelims.
  • The basic requirement to clear this stage is to at least secure 33% marks in General Science section.
  • Further, on the basis of IAS Exam 2024 result for prelims, candidates register for Mains exam.
  • IAS Exam 2024 Mains will cover 9 conventional essay type papers, 2 being optional in them.
  • Mains exam and interview session form basis of candidate’s selection.
  • After the UPSC Exam 2024 Mains examination of 1750 marks, candidates have to clear the cut off as decided by UPSC.
  • Those who clear the cut off are called for Interview session.
  • Marks obtained in personal interview out of the total of 275 marks will also be considered while preparing the list of finally selected candidates.
